Q2 2024 Snapshot: Top Theme Parks Apps in the US

In the second quarter of 2024, top theme parks apps have shown varying degrees of user activity and downloads. Sensor Tower provides a closer look into how these apps are performing on the unified platform.

Starting with Disneyland® Paris, the app saw a peak in weekly active users (WAUs) at nearly 800K during late April, but experienced a gradual decline to about 700K by the end of June. Downloads showed similar volatility, starting at over 400K in early April and fluctuating to around 200K towards the end of the quarter. Notably, the app's revenue had a significant spike in mid-April, reaching 19M USD, with smaller peaks in subsequent weeks.

For LEGOLAND® Deutschland Resort, the data indicates a relatively stable pattern, with downloads ranging from 10K to 68K over the quarter. However, no revenue or WAUs data was reported.

Gardaland Resort App Ufficiale had its highest download numbers at the end of June with over 100K, although the starting figures in April were quite low. WAUs saw a significant increase from 33K in April to 82K in June, indicating growing user engagement as the quarter progressed.

Universal Studios Hollywood™ experienced a dip in downloads from 79K in early April to just 2K in early June, before rising to 48K by the end of the quarter. WAUs followed a similar pattern, with a notable drop to zero in late April and late May, but a slight recovery to 20K by late June.

Lastly, Europa-Park & Rulantica started the quarter with 21K downloads and finished with 54K, showing a positive trend. WAUs were not recorded until late in the quarter, but reached 46K by mid-June.
